Santa Fe, NM - This morning, New Mexico Secretary of State Brad Winter and Attorney General Hector Balderas announced that the Attorney General will assist the Secretary of State's Office in providing additional support to county clerks on Election Day to ensure proper conduct at polling locations around New Mexico. State law provides that upon the request of the Secretary of State, the Attorney General shall assign investigators or lawyers to aid the Secretary of State on Election Day to maintain consistency and uniformity.
