Albuquerque, NM - Today, Attorney General Balderas announced that Second Judicial District Court Judge Jacqueline Flores sentenced 28-year-old Edward Cebada to 16 years in prison for forcibly raping a 16-year-old high-school female in her car at Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque while he was on sex-offender parole. A Bernalillo County jury in June of 2019 convicted Cebada of one count of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor and one count of Attempt to Commit Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor after a weeklong trial. This case was investigated and prosecuted by the Office of the Attorney General.
