On October 12, 2020 at 11:15 AM, Troopers arrested John Webster, age 67, of 236 Pequot Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charges of 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting, 2.) Larceny Less Than $500.00 from a Person 65 or Older, 3.) Bank Fraud, 4.) Larceny Greater than $1,500.00, 5.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses Over $1,500.00 originating out of the State Police Scituate Barracks and 6.) Fraudulent Access to a Computer and an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses Over $1,500.00 originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department. This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and a subsequent residence check. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment at Third District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.
