[ST. PAUL, MN] – Today, Governor Tim Walz signed three bills into law as passed by the Minnesota State Legislature. The bill signing included:

This bill makes updates to open meeting law regulations, providing greater flexibility to hold meetings remotely while still enabling public participation. It also makes changes that protect the privacy of individuals attending remote meetings.

This bill provides certain privacy rights to lottery players winning over $10,000.

SF 1020 increases access to certain types of property evaluations that can be performed by appraisers and modifies continuing education course requirements for insurance, real estate, and appraiser licensees in Minnesota. The bill requires appraiser licensees to take a new course in valuation bias focused on fair housing laws and bias.
