SIKESTON – Route ZZ in Dunklin County will be closed as contractor crews replace the bridge over the Deering Drainage Ditch.

This section of roadway is located between Route NN and County Road 725.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 21, with completion anticipated Friday, Aug. 20. A signed detour will be in place.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
