June 30, 2021 – Québec – The National Battlefields Commission

This summer, escape from it all at the Plains of Abraham, thanks to imaginative programming that will immerse you in the history of this mythical place. Explore the park with family and friends, solving the puzzles and challenges found in three escape rallies, two of which are new this year. In The Challenge of the Great Wars, follow in the footsteps of soldier, poet and chaplain Frederick George Scott. The Masters Tournament, on the other hand, involves a number of sports challenges. Starting August 20, The Forgotten Ones sheds light on the history of forgotten witnesses to the siege of Québec. Little ones will love the treasure hunt, The Landscape Architect and the Hidden Treasure, and the quest that will lead parents and children to little-known places in the park. Discoveries, surprises and fun for all!

As is the tradition, the Plains of Abraham Museum is open to visitors free of charge on July 1st. Explore the history of the battles of the Plains of Abraham and Sainte-Foy through the Battles 1759-1760 exhibition, with its incredible immersive screening, interactive stations and a historical character in attendance. Admire numerous artifacts from the Battlefield Park’s archeological collection presented in the Identities and Traces exhibitions. End your tour at Martello Tower 1 with the Attention! exhibition, where you use a tablet to learn about the history of this vestige of early defensive fortifications.
