Governor Walz Orders Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Senator Harry Reid

[ST. PAUL, MN] – In accordance with a proclamation issued by President Joe Biden, Governor Tim Walz has ordered all United States and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state buildings in the State of Minnesota from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, January 8, 2022, to remember, mourn, and honor the life of Senator Harry Reid.

“Throughout his long career of public service, Harry Reid was instrumental in passing landmark legislation that made a positive difference in the lives of countless Americans and made our nation stronger and safer,” reads the proclamation issued by Governor Walz. “The President of the United States of America has ordered that the flags be flown at half-staff to remember and honor the life of Senator Harry Reid.”

Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to join in lowering their flags.
