April 28, 2022 – Ottawa, Ontario – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff General Wayne Eyre, Deputy Minister of National Defence Bill Matthews, and Communications Security Establishment Chief Shelly Bruce, are in Washington D.C. until Friday, April 29, 2022, for meetings with U.S. Secretary of Defence Lloyd J. Austin III and Canadian and U.S. officials.

While in Washington, Minister Anand will also speak to diplomats and members of the U.S. Congress about enhanced continental and global Allied cooperation.

Defense Secretary Austin and Minister Anand will hold a joint press conference and take questions from the media.
