ST. LOUIS – Drivers heading out of the city of St. Louis on Interstate 70 this weekend may want to consider alternate routes or allow extra time as westbound I-70 between Carrie and West Florissant Avenue will be closed. Crews will complete girder repairs to the Taylor Avenue bridge over the interstate. The closure starts at 8 p.m. Friday, June 17, weather permitting.

The ramps from Adelaide and Carrie to westbound I-70 and the ramp from westbound I-70 to West Florissant Avenue will also be closed, starting at 7 p.m. June 17.

All lanes and ramps will be reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, June 20.

In South St. Louis County, drivers who use I-55 should consider alternate routes, or allow themselves more driving time, as MoDOT will close the interstate to remove a pedestrian bridge north of Reavis Barracks.

Crews will close all lanes and ramps of I-55 in both directions between Reavis Barracks (Exit 199) and Bayless (Exit 201A) in St. Louis County to remove the bridge by 8 p.m. Friday, June 17.

The posted northbound detour uses Reavis Barracks, Lemay Ferry Road and Bayless to detour around the closure. The posted southbound I-55 detour will use Bayless/Weber, Gravois, Mackenzie and Reavis Barracks. Drivers from the south may want to consider using I-270 as an alternate.

All lanes and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, June 20.

  • I-170, St. Louis County, the Midland bridge over the interstate will be closed from 9 a.m. Monday, June 6 through October.
  • I-255, St. Louis County, one lane closed eastbound and westbound over Mississippi River bridge until fall 2022.
  • I-255, St. Louis County, eastbound Koch Rd. ramp closed until fall 2022.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, one lane of Dunn Road between Old Halls Ferry and New Halls Ferry closed.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, one lane of Pershall between Knollway and Washington/Elizabeth will be closed through summer. Westbound traffic will no longer be able to use this section of Pershall.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, the ramp from eastbound to northbound Route 367 will be closed until late September.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, the westbound lane on Pershall between Hanley/Graham and New Florissant is closed. When the roadway reopens in November 2022, it will be converted to one-way eastbound.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, starting at 7 a.m., the westbound lane on Pershall Road between West Florissant and New Halls Ferry will be closed. When the roadway reopens in late 2022, it will be converted to one-way eastbound.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, one southbound lane on ramp to westbound 370 closed.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, the eastbound ramp to Lindbergh is closed.
  • Route 50, St. Louis County, the ramp from Lindbergh to Route 255 is closed through late June.

  • Route 47, Franklin County, northbound and southbound will be reduced to one lane over Interstate 44 through September. In addition the ramp to westbound I-44 will be closed, and the ramps from westbound and eastbound I-44 to Route 47, and the ramp from Route 47 to eastbound I-44 will be closed to left-turning traffic through September.

  • Route 100, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed from the Gasconade County line to east of New Haven.
  • Route 50, Franklin County, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., one lane closed just east of Route C. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • Route 50, Franklin County, 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., one eastbound and westbound lane closed from Route BB to Route C.
  • Route 185, Franklin County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed northbound and southbound between Hawthorn and Elbert.
  • Route W, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed. A pilot car will help direct traffic through the closure
  • Route JJ, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed. A pilot car will help direct traffic through the closure
