The U.S. bond market is sending a warning. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield climbed to approximately 5% during the past week, while the 30-year Treasury yield moved above 5.3%, putting long-term government borrowing costs near multiyear highs. Federal Reserve data showed the 10-year constant-maturity Treasury yield at 4.95% on Sept. 10.
